DelawareT5M
So I installed the stock suspension back on the front about 2 weeks ago and now my driver side axle boot has torn (as I found out last night at 3am when I blew my tire) Can I simply replace the boot, throw some grease in there and call it a day? And now for the turn signals... I temporarily fixed the problem a month ago my switching the fuse... but now the fuse blows every other day and I can't figure out why. Any more ideas? And this is Fuse 13 for Hazards/High Beams/Turn signals
aggarcia
You can replace the boot. Most parts suppliers sell a kit with the boot, clamps, clip, and grease. Better to do it now not later as a joint run without grease or getting dirt into it will wear out. Eletrical issues require some trouble shooting. I would first checks the basics - bad connections and look for damaged wire. Make sure you have an accurate wiring diagram. AG
Oreo931
John just throw a new aftermarket axle in there. It's not really worth the hassle of rebuilding the busted one. Aftermarkets are pretty cheap anyways. Also, when can I have my struts back? :P

Keaton85
Replacing the boot sucks major! Just get an axle for cheap. They are like 60-80 each on autohauz or however you spell it. Lifetime warranty.... Once again it sucks!!!!!!!
bigdaddylee82
Another vote for replacing the axle. $60 for a reman axle at O'Reilly's. Replacing the boot isn't worth the trouble, and mess involved. Also you probably don't know exactly how long the boot has been cracked, and just what all kinds of crap has gotten into the CV joint, so You'll likely wind up replacing the axle within a year or so of replacing the boot anyway. - Lee
Keaton85
The ones I got from autohausaz were FEQ and were really nice looking axles in my opinion. 63.13 for the leftand 84.19 for the right..

So much easier than doing a boot... but if you need a really cheap fix and have time to spare...buy yourself 1.5-2 years, but you will likely be doing the axle sooner or later.
