Gregg Posted December 18, 2004 Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 I have the S90 antenna switch w/ the harness plugged into the switch and a whole bunch of wires hanging off of it. I want to hook it up to work with my Pioneer head unit (antenna up/down operation, as well as have the switch light up like it's supposed to).I tried searching both in Cosmetic and Audio, but could not find a good write-up with pics of exactly which wires on the back of the switch are used and where they get connected to. All you have to do is run the switch between the antenna line. All that the switch does it send a signal (like a remote line does to an amp) and when that signal is present, the antenna will go up. I'm willing to bet that there are 3-4 wires comming off of it. 2 of them are for attachment to the antenna line and one to two are for illuminating the switch (a positive and a negative...maybe). The first one shows all the wires coming off the back of the antenna swtich.The black wire and pink wire I tapped off of the defroster switch right next to it. The blue & white wire I tapped off the radio harness (right before the large plug that would go into a stock head unit).My problem is the last 2 wires:Where do they go? Do both need to be connected?I tried tapping the blue & yellow wire on the switch into the blue & yellow wire on the radio harness - nothing.I tried tapping the blue & yellow wire on the switch into the blue & white wire on the radio harness - nothing.Please someone help. Veneficus Posted December 18, 2004 Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 GuessesWhite/Blue Wire - hu to switchBlue/Orange Wire - switch to antennaOrange/Red - uhhhThe last three wires should be interchangable so switch them around until you find something that works.Did you cut the antenna wire? You have to crimp those two onto opposite ends of the +Antenna line. This is what sends the current to the antenna that makes it go up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
