01 V70 Brake Light Relay?

It's a ten year old Volvo. None of these people are going to give you a decent answer, they are just going to act snyde and condescending. Just sell the car as fast as you can, and buy something reliable.

I have a 2001 V70. Both lower brake lights stopped working, however the 3rd one works fine. I checked fuses and bulbs which were both OK. Does this thing have a relay somewhere that controlls the rear lower lights?

Thanks,

Dave

Brake light relays located in REM (rear electronic module) - left rear corner of car in the cargo area ;)

I actually managed to find the recall info on this.

Does anybody have a diagram of which relay is which on a 01 v70?

Kinda funny but this car (knock on wood) has been pretty reliable over all, but I do give it plenty of TLC.

FWIW I finally got it sorted...bad relay.

For those of you not near a Volvo dealer and want to try to get the part locally, it turns out that the Ford crown Vic has the same relay for the fuel pump. Ford part # F5TZ-14N089-B...about $14 at the dealer. Relay FoAZ14N089A is also interchangable with other Volvo relays.
