t-townS70
My stepmom noticed that she lost power when she was going down I-5, I test drove it today and its acting really wierd no boost at all and no power. There are no fluid leaks from what I can see and no check engine lights... I'm planning on taking it to seattle volvo. We have a 100,000 mi warranty so that shouldnt be a problem. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Thanks, Marshall

greekone
Def limp mode Needs resetting, any cels? He said no CEL. That sounds odd though, usually throws a CEL for limp mode.

Matt_
I could be wrong, but I thought limp mode always came with a CEL? Did your stepmom notice any noises before she lost power? Also double check all the vacuum lines and both ends of the Charge Air Pipe that runs over the engine. If any codes show up let me know. I might be able to run up there and see what they are with my scan tool that sometimes works. Lol.

I don;t know what to do can you reset the ecu with a basic scan tool?
Matt_
Not sure how reliable this info is, as I've never had to reset the ECM in my car. Last post in this thread tells you what to do for an '06, but again, I'd double check it with your owners manual. http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?140482-ECU-Fuses&highlight=resetting+ECU I've also read that you can disconnect the battery for x amount of minuets and it'll do the same thing. Try a search in the 99+ section here on VS or on SS R Forum to see what you come up with, or wait for some one a little more versed in doing this here. dmelviØØ7
If you are bringing it to me please don't reset it, it will make my job easier if you don't. I would trace the intake piping for a hose that popped off.

Upgrayedd
My R wagon lost all power and boost when I blew a vac line and also tore the diaphragm in the stock BOV attached to the compressor housing. Altho, I had CEL's when that happened. Until I found the vac line (side of intake mani) and replaced it. Still had the boost issue til I took out the stock BOV and replaced it with my aftermarket HKS

I'm going to have it looked at sometime this week at seattle volvo. Warranty ftw
