Guest Keith
I am trying to locate the stereo amplifier in my 1995 Volvo 850. Anyone know where in the car it is located? Thanks Keith
Keep Calm Chive On
if you got one it should be behind the radio
(n)A-GAME
That's correct. It'll be right in front of the heater core. Although the only 850's to have them in 1995 would have been the T-5R's. Otherwise, the only amp you have is the one that's built in to the head unit. BEJinFBK
The real question to ask is: "IS there an amp at all?" As stated, they don't come with every 850. First, pull the radio and look in back, there's a round connector with 6 pins that says "AMP". If something is plugged in to it and your sound goes away when you unplug it, you have an amp. Otherwise, the power is built right into the radio. But you can still add an outboard amp... B)
