Wtb: Turbo 13G, 15G, Or 16T Or Someone To Rebuild Current Turbo

I've got a 1998 V70 GLT and I fear that the turbo is in need of a rebuild or replacement. I'm not 100% sure on this yet, but I should be within the next couple days to a week. At that time I will either be looking for someone to rebuild the current turbo (think it's a 13G if my research has served me right), or I would like to purchase a used but in good condition 13G, or upgrade to a used but in good condition 15G or 16T (with T5 ECU & injectors if needed). Like I said, not an immediate purchase, but I fear I'll be doing this soon so I'd like to know what my options are and I had good results from posting my wanted ad for a MAF.

Thanks,

Matt

I've got the T5 ecu and white injectors, unfortunately just sold the 16T this afternoon.

What makes you think the turbo on your car is bad?

See here: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?145004-Turbo-Skreeching

I just don't feel confident that the return line is causing the problem.

I thought you said in the SW topic that the turbo had no play and didnt touch the housing? These units are pretty rugged so I would be on the side of not messing with replacing it.

that guy in the SW topic saying the car would go BOOM if you had a 16T and T5 ECU installs!!! try ZOOM no BOOM...

If there isnt much play and you can spin it freely there is no reason to condem it. I have had turbos on some of my vehicles have really sloppy play in and out, side to side and still work perfect! Ive only had to replace one turbo in my day and that was on my first Volvo, and thinking back on it, that turbo was fine, it was the PCV system that needed attention.

Heck, if you get a 16T with a T5 ECU then go for that! If it's just to replace the turbo, I would look for another issue some place.
