DAMMIT GREGG!  I want Vadis....  quit rubbing it in our faces!

I just help out whenever I can. That's why I make sure to get part numbers up with the images. Hopefully someone will see this, buy it, install it, and then take pictures to show off to everyone!

I'm sold.  Where can  I get one of these things besides the dealer... but I guess it would be good to get a new one....

Not a cheap piece of plastic though :(

I'm getting my new notebook beginning of january, bought me a little one ... great to use as carputer:

Sony Vaio T150P/L series:

I'm going to try and build a small table that I can attach to the center console, just in front of the radio. Then use a wireless FM modulator to get the sound through the car-audio system.

In theory it should give all the benefits of a full in-dash carputer. The notebook is small enough so i doesn't bother me or a passenger while driving the car.

Currently working on a build.  Screen is on the way, but Im still balking at the price of an opus ps and the via epia boards.  Hoping either inspiration will strike, or Ill fall into a pile of money.

Will keep everyone posted on its progress.

Is there a touchscreen that will fit into the Double Din cubby hole? I've thought about this as a future project, and I'd like not to cut into the center console.

dr.P oh yeah, one will definetly fit, I was looking into doing this before, shouldn't even be THAT hard, heh. Hard is relative though, but I was thinking of getting a mounting bracket for a radio, and fabricating some way for the screen to attach onto that. That way you can get it out if you ever need to. I will eventully do this one day when I find a screen cheap enough, that fits good enough. Depending on how much I get for chsirtmas, well maybe I will be getting one sooner than i thought. :) :) :) ALso depends on the computer issue and all, but anyways...
