rodrigo
Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing well. Buddy of mine has a '95 850 wagon and he installed a basic Clarion headunit in it. He recently disconnected the battery and now the radio does not work. Would the car be asking for a code? We checked fuses, etc. any sugg's?? Dave 54
No the car is not looking for a code, they only apply to the stock radio. I would pull the radio and check the fuse on the back of it or the fuse in under the eng. bay. More then likely when he put the power back to the battery it blew one of those. If they are good, the radio may have fried. Try running a wire straight from the battery to the radio and see if it powers on. I've got a Sony HU that came in the wifes car that I swapped out for the stocker he can have for cheap, already has the wire harness adapter installed. Or, you could just use a meter at the two power feeds at the back of the radio to verify that power is getting that far.

Correct assuming he has access to one. Lot of people don't so a simple check would be to do as I stated in the event he dosen't have one. If it powers on and the fuses have been checked and are known to be good then he should be looking at the wiring and connectors them selves for faults. BEJinFBK
Good Point - It's worth keeping an eye on the sales at places like Sears. They have a decent little DMM for around 25 bucks. Hold out for a 1/2 price sale and Bada-Bing - There ya go! B)
