Hey

I'm new to this forum so I was just checking out if there was a scene at all up here. Im originally from winter park, fl but im up here for school. i have a 95 850 t5r thats kinda monkeyed up, its been my baby for a while but I havent had much cash flow to fix it so its finally dying. Is there anyone up here that can point me in a good direction for a good mechanic that wont burn a hole in my pocket? Or even help me out with some labor on the side if I were to get the parts? for some $$

Hey man i commute back and forth from Jacksonville to gainesville all the time, main home is up in jax and im in school for gville.

You at UNF or what? Mattphi is from the jax area as well, and there's a nice following down in orlando, with a bunch of guys who would gladly help you fix anything you need. I can help depending on the job of course, but i've moved all my tools etc to gville now that i have a garage, so both my cars are down here.

Don't take it to osteen...no matter what you do. Worst dealership ever imho. Just avoid them at all costs. I live out at the beaches, and back when my brother owned the 93, there was a few euro spots out here that didn't suck. You're going to find hard pressed to find a place worth a snot downtown area though...Al's junkyard i would never have let touch my car, and to my knowledge they have gone under....junkyard was a rip off, learned lesson and order everything online/from VS now.

Like flyfishing said, what's wrong with it? I left a bunch of useless crap at my home in jax(spare parts, old stuff etc...) so if you need something let me know and i'll see if i've got it. I can help try diagnose if you need on a weekend or something...the St.aug crew is kinda gone, but i have a name of a guy i could ask and see who he recommends out there if your car could make the drive.

There is a few good volvo places out there though...but your going to find most of them are not cheap...unless your on the otherside of where i am.

Keep in touch with us!

Hell yeah, I have no clue what I'm studying right now but I'm having a blast. I have a place down by south jax beach, its dope. I took my car to cech bros in winter park, which is pretty much in orlando and they specialize in volvos but they also charge a pretty penny because they know what they are doing. Ive taken it to many random mechanics and i feel that they dont do as good of a job as specialized places do. I'm not 100% positive whats wrong with it, as im not the best with cars, but i know i have a manifold leak, and oil COULD be leaking into my timing chains. and there is something definitely wrong with my steering, i just cant put a finger on it; when i brake, the steering drops and the wheels turn to the left, making me jerk the wheel to the right just to go straight. blows. I know theres probably other small things but those are the big ones right now, so if you or anyone is willing to help me, im definitely down to chill or something on a weekend, we've got a really nice glass collection at our place if that's your cup of tea.
