drin850
Just picked up a set of 5.25 components for the front doors and i was wondering where people mounted the tweeter. There's the option of putting them where the dash tweeters are, but i'm interested in mounting them on the door panel. Just not sure where exactly. Where did you mount yours? Thanks Adrian
beewerks
What's wrong with the location on the dash?
drin850
nothing wrong with it, i just figured i could keep the dash tweeters and add a set the doors.
mune237
I haven't done mine yet, but I'm going to put them in the dash. You want the highs as close to the ears as possible, or the most direct path to the ears. Bouncing off the front glass has worked for me before. EDIT: don't use the factory tweets if you have components
drin850
i ended up just putting them in the dash. hiding the crossovers was a bit of a pain. anyway, thanks for the input Adrian
ryan850-t5
I cut a whole in the door panel right below the speaker and mounted the tweeters there
