jbuck
I'm removing my fuel rail with injectors to see if any of them are leaking. After removing the two bolts, I've wiggled and wiggled but the injectors won't come loose. Anyone have any suggestions? Would it make more sense to wiggle or pull straight out? I have some clamps that I could use to simultaneously "pull" the rail straight out from both sides.Do I need an injector seal kit before removing? Can't find one for '99. I was going to remove the remove the fuel rail with all injectors attached, pressurise the system and see if any of them are dripping. Dealer was going to charge over $100 for the same procedure so I thought I'd try it myself. Thanks in advance.
DEWFPO
They can be tight, I wiggle the fuel rail from side to side slighty(not to much) but evenly while applying more pull back pressure. It will 'pop' out so be careful.DEWFPO
WhiteT5
Be VERY careful when doing this, as the heads of the injectors are usually brittle from heat and crack VERY easily. Learn from my mistake. I'm glad I have extras laying around.
Mesoam
you need new injector o-rings for the re-install. I found wiggling front to back then side to side helps, start from one outside edge then the other then the middle
