yoked
Replaced the clutch and had gearbox apart to replace seals and slave. I slapped the gearbox & bell housing back together & reinstalled back on to the engine, reconnected everything back together (wires, mounts etc...). Bled the clutch (forever) and when I finally fired it up the shifter didnt feel right. I tried to put in gear, every gear and the gears did not engage. There's no grinding, no movement of the car , no reverse lights nothing. Someone said my cables were backwards. This is not the case. What did I do wrong? PLEASE advise. Thanks... TxS70
check the cables again. If you go to put it in first, does it go where it should? If it does, and it doesnt move when you let the clutch out, thats a whole other story.
yoked
It does actually seem to go into first a little stiff but yes it does. In fact thats the only spot the shifter seems to somewhat feels normal.
MrWinkey
Back bleed the clutch hydraulics. Get a metal trigger oil can, fill it with brake fluid, slide some vacuum hose on the tip of the can then onto the bleeder screw, crack the slave bleeder screw and pump brake fluid into it, watch the air push into the master as it fills up. yoked
When I said it went into first I was only talking about the shifter. The car itself does not move the slightest in any any gear And the reverse lights dont work.
