RZT5
Yes, to an impropperly scaled sensor. so its because of the larger diamater pipe? and the ecu interprets the o2 sensors signal a little wrong?
turbor850
Been saying this for 10 years now and no one listens. If you want to go fast run 2.5 all the way back. If you want to be a paper racer 3" or gtfo...... I was a fast paper racer then

TRACStar
I was a fast paper racer then Didn't you have a standalone setup? It kind of negates the drawbacks when your tune is custom mapped for your exact setup. Either way with my off the shelf IPD tune I noticed a large increase in power after installing my OBX. I can't say for sure if there would be more power with a full 2.5" exhaust since I have never tried it, and I'm not saying its not possible. Chucks knowledge of these cars far surpasses mine admittedly, but overall I'm more than happy with my OBX simply due to the cost. Side note, @Chuck what size DP/exhaust were you running on your 12.9 run? When I ran a 13.9 I had my OBX with a straight housing and the first half of both of our runs were similar. It was the second half that your larger turbo made the HUGE difference. _____You ------- Me 1/8 -- 9.03 ---- 8.99 mph - 83.92 ---- 82.

JCviggen
For top end >300hp there is no doubt that 3in is fastly opening a large advantage over 2.5in. If you really want to you could push 400 through a 2.5in exhaust but that doesnt mean its the best way.
