pwebb
I arrived back at a local park and ride Sunday night to find that some idiot had broken into my 93 Volvo 850 GLT via the rear drivers side window. ARG!Has anyone ever dealt with replacing windows on their 850's? If so, how would you rate the level of difficultly of replacement? Is this something that the average 18 year old kid, with little automotive knowledge, could replace? If that is not an option, can anybody give me an estimate as to how much it would be to get installed? However, unless you have experience installing automotive windows and ensuring the window is sealed and sitting correctly, it's best to let a professional replace and install it.BTW- it is not an expensive item to have replaced and installed. Any automotive glass company can get you an aftermarket quarter glass and install it within an hour.

Serge
I had my passenger side rear window broken when my car was broken into. What I did first was vacuum the hell out of it and vacuum all the glass out of the inside of the door. Spend some time doing this or else you'll hear tons of glass rattling inside the door.I had my friend at a the Volvo dealership find a used piece of glass for $80. It came with the holders, so it was just a matter of taking off the old ones and putting on the new window.
