vman98
My son has a 2000 S40 and the DSA light on the dash is lit on but the button has not been pushed to engage it. He had to replace a brake line on front driver side wheel. The flexi one. could brake fluid have mess up something like a wheel sensor?
theForgottenone
I don't have dsa on my car but I assume he might accidentally touch the sensor during the repair.
GerBeGurGya
I don't have dsa on my car but I assume he might accidentally touch the sensor during the repair. Like it was said check the ABS sensor and the wiring.DSA gets this signal to determine if the wheel is spinning compared to the rears.BTW DSA is always engaged when you push the button and the light comes on then its off.I also had the DSA light coming on when unplugged the MAF sensor for testing while the engine was running.Light went off after plugged MAF back on but not until I did restart the engine. Ihatespeedbumps
If the DSA light is illuminated at all times a fault has been stored. You need to have the codes read before anything can be diagnosed, otherwise, it's purely speculation.
