D1DeMar Posted October 9, 2010 Report Share Posted October 9, 2010 havent been on in awile but had to state my thoughts somewhere, so ive seen this fool drivin round a few times, 06 grey s60r belive it started with penn. plates but nows got fl, given him a wave in the multiple R's ive gone threw the past few years, 06 854R/98 v70R/95 854t5-r m56h/ and now 97 854R m56L, never gotten any response back not even a wave. well i saw the car parked at a local bar tonight so i cruise in to talk to the guy, manager refuses to serve me staring at my car while he does so, so im assuming that this peice of crap manager is the owner. if any one knows who this guy is plz tell me, not only does he need to see what a real R is he is in need of a serious attitude adjustment. and for any of you local guys reading this, the bar he is at it is city tropics on 5th ave. place's food sucks anyways and drinks are way overpriced. for one i would never treat another R owner this way, or any volvo owner for that matter. you want a good time cruise by meg-o-malleys, good food, reasonable drinks, and im not gunna turn u away cuz ur R is better than mine. Sry for the rant and the bad punctuation and spelling, dude just really pissed me off, feel like ripping his R badge off that car, dude doesnt deserve a nice car like that. That being said, and since you've waved to the guy a few times, he might think you're "Funny". He's probably not an enthusiast of any kind either. It's just a car to him. So, in this guy's mind, he's probably thinking "I see this guy waving to me one day, then coming into my workplace the next. WTF"? He's probably creeped out. So, you want to beat this guy's ass because he wouldn't wave or talk to you? I didn't know "R" owners were some sort of secret society where your badge could be revoked by other members. Are you guys connected to the Illuminati and the Free masons? Skull and Bones? I'd have to say that he probably is entitled to drive whatever he can afford the monthly payment on. I know the past few times I bought a new car at the dealership they didn't say anything about whether I deserved the vehicle or not, they just ran the app and off I drove. And just cause this guy drives a "R" doesn't make him an enthusiast, if he waved MAYBE, but he doesn't so why would you still want to meet him? Just cause of the R? I laugh every time I see these stupid "Spotted" threads, I see several R's and nice Volvos all the time and I don't think any of them are enthusiasts or surfing any of the sites. And I live in a town with a lot of Volvos! Most of them are driven by women too. So maybe a Volvo driver is just a Volvo driver and not your new best friend... Also this guy probably can't tell the difference between a 850, 850R and s70? I agree with Matty that said you probably creeped him out. I'd be creeped out too. Just my $0.02...
