Jippi 855 GLT Posted October 12, 2010 Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 thanks to mattphi's write up i blacked out my extra headlights.. before: headlight: 1. pop off all the black clips around the light: 2. clean parts of the reflector you are painting with rubbing alcohol 3. using small brush and q tips paint the desired parts 4. reinstall lense. headlights with us spec lenses left light had us lense right one has ecode 5. reinstall and done installed one side with ecode: i will take better pics later.. I'm hoping to do this to my S70....if I can find some time lol also, when taking apart the lens it's only held together with those clips or was there glue you had to remove as well??? Keep Calm Chive On Posted October 13, 2010 Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 i was told i baked them too fast but i looked up like 3 different peoples "write up" granted it wasnt on VS. but from what i was told was you put them in the oven at room temp & they warm up with the oven warming up to temp slowly. but they started to disform after like 10 min (but i didnt warm up with them i preheated & put them in the oven) also idk if its SEALANT that secured the lense to the housing on the corners that shits hard as a rock so idk if its doable im sure people ahve done it but i wish i knew. because of me fuckin one up i have a e-code ish corner & a stock yellow one cause i only had one E code plus they look super bright. I tried to see if i could finnaggle up something to paint them through the bulb opening but i couldnt get it without fuckin up soo ith :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
