dam i like that BMW.... looks awesomely clean... what year is that?

Its an 83. Last year of the E21's before the E30's came out. Its increadibly mint, i'm the third owner.

Please tell me you'll be making the trek down to Carlisle this year! lol

Couldn;t tell you right now Michael. Depends on the state of the volvo. I need a new saftey on it again since the incident in the fall, which means I have alot of stuff to put back on. Now I have the E21, I might take this downtime to do the BBQ right (ie find a garage to store it in, strip it, and re-do everything). I also need to re-dyno it with my new tune to see if I got out of it what I wanted, if not, I think i'm going vems. I'm sure once the warm weather hits, it'll change my mind, and i'll just want to throw it on the road. I miss the sh!t out of driving it. I'll know when Carlisle is a month away. Cheers

So the bmw deal fell thru, the owner is a twwatt. Which means the plans for the BBQ have made a huge turn.

I bought a 97 850 turbo for a dd. The bbq won't see the road for at least another year, its getting cut up. I'm going thru with my rwd conversion on it. I'm not using my 2jz, as I don't have all the parts yet. I'll be using the motor I have built thats in it now, and turning it around. I'll post some pics later.

I'm now waiting for some random parts and the weather to warm up. Also looking for a welder. In my true style, i'll be doing the majority on jackstands, in a driveway. The snow has to leave first before I start the stripping.

Oh, and I will be going to carlisle, just not in the bbq, but I will make the new silver car a little special, I have plans. Stay tuned, it'll be slow, but it will be rwd. Cheers

Definitely document it. A few people on T'bricks had talked about doing this (to an AWD, since it already has the rear diff used on the old IRS 700/900 series) - I'd love to see the progress you make!

I;m right where I want to be now. And I now have a garage and a safe place indoors to work on the bbq, so the engine is coming out next week (never had a garage before, did all my work outside in the farking elements). Iève been slacking the last few months, moved and re-started my life. It will be a while before pictures are up, but it will be done. Thanks to all that are interested. Ill be more active in the coming months, just sorting a lot of personal sh!t out right now. Getting my life back together. Cheers fellas
