Bazarvospeed
Got a 98 v70 awd at an auction with a rear drive shaft + bolts missing. So I'm looking for a cheap working shaft to see if the awd is still good to decide if I wanna fix it or part it. So someone local would be great within pa - de - md area. Also the drive shaft would need to be out of a 98-early 99 v70. if you could provide the bolts too that would be great. * I was also wondering if the 850 awd drive shaft is the same as well? Could someone chime in , that info would be awesome.

The '98 would be easier to locate.

DId that on my sisters car, didnt use the spacers, and haven't had a problem since!
sea-xc
I have 2 early 98 driveshafts. Both are in fair condition. Center bearings are noisy and I had a shudder when turning. On the better one, it appears the Front CV joints was rebuilt, a bit less rust but it's missing one nut on the center bearing mount. Unknown mileage, bought used from Tom, used for 8 months before I pulled it again. Older one, approx 150k no work done to it. Bearing spin quietly and CV move without binding but the shudder was more significant on this DS. I haven't taken the time to find out the root cause but I believe the angle gear on my car is shot. If your interested I can take photos and come up with a price. I'm going to keep the bolts for the time being. I'm in NH so shipping would be the easiest unless you want to drive North. Keaton85
I have a bunch of the early 98 variation. If you measurement of the coupler on the BG or the VC then you will know which you have. The larger one is the early 98 and the smaller one is the 99-00. also if there is a lip on the couplers then it's the 99-00, if it's a flat flange it's 98... (98s have both but you get the idea)
