clarkerussell
I just got my 4x50Watt amp (thanks (n)A-GAME!!), but I don't know where to mount the factory amp with the factory in dash mounting bracket. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks. Clarke
--Aaron--
It straddles the exhaust hump thinger behind the radio, in front of the heater core.
clarkerussell
So does it simply involve removing the trim around the stereo/AC/etc and installing it there, or is it more involved? Thanks. Clarke
--Aaron--
It's pretty simple man, pull out the driver's kick panel, glove box, passenger kick panel, fold back carpet on both sides, remove black plastic pieces. On the driver's side you'll see a metal support thinger, remove that bolt and position the amp and bracket, replace bolt and that is how the driver's side is secured. The passenger side of the amp bracket has a pre placed threaded hole from factory, there's a cut out you'll see, sort of square, pull that out, get a bolt that fits and boom. :D

--Aaron--
Thanks for the detail Aaron! No problem, taken from another thread: See that black support thing in the bottom right of the photo? That is where the amp bracket mounts on the driver's side. There will be a square piece of sound deadening on the other side and that is what you rip off. It's perforated on 3 sides so just a pull should rip it off, exposing the passenger side bracket mounting location. Good luck!
