I think the unofficial record for a 03/04 stock is 12.3 or 12.4 but its a record for a reason hmmmmm your friend is a decent driver then...that record was probably optimal conditions and it was probably done at that track in texas where all the stupid records are done... The plain and simple truth is that; like a Civic...you can go to any 7/11 and buy shit off the counter to make it stupid fast...lol. Its one hella beast on the on the track Kenny Bell twin screw ect ect ect that puts out 780whp. Pully and tune will give you almost 100hp straight away. Why didn't you guys have an intervention and stop him? Unfortunately being a convertible it was gay to begin with...it didn't need anymore help in that department...lol. Just my opinion of course...I'm just not a fan of convertibles. The only 2 people that get a free pass in the convertible dept are chicks and "hairdressers". So you had an 03-04 cobra with 7-10K in mods, and you ended up with a 99 V70R? sounds like you lost out on that whip HOW ARE YOU SATISFIED! buzz's girlfriend .... Whoof! Double0 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 Nice car man, you are going to love it for sure. They are so easy to modify at such reasonable prices compared to any Volvo. A simple pulley swap, exhaust and tune and you will be going faster than most cars can dream of going. The whole quarter mile time debate with this car is really because of the IRS suspension in the rear, not being able to handle the torque this drivetrain can produce. Resulting in crappy (for a mustang) 60 foot times. This of course means nothing on the street. Your new car is an everyday cruiser that can have well over 400whp, take a beating and yet drive as any regular everyday car. I'd trade my wagon and 2000GT "Faleen" for your car in a heartbeat.
