blazen244
I read on this forum often about some of the members having 15-19 psi of boost and the stock is somewhere around 8-10. How are you guys getting your psi that high and are you running stock turbo getting this kind of boost? Also with the stock turbo whats the highest safest boost you can run on the stock turbo? Zappo
Some use an MBC to get the boost to 15 and stock ecu. Most run a tune on the car to get it to 18.

I'm looking too stay right around 300-320 not looking to go upwards of that. I'm looking to pick up a 06-07 M-5 soon. Snabb T5M
Be prepared to spend some money then. I'm putting down 307whp (on a Dynapack dyno) and it took quite the money ($5-6K)($3K for motor rebuild, $3K for more go fast parts) to get there (and didn't cut corners). See my sig for mods. boxpin
It takes money to get there. You can find deals, discounts and such but you need to know what you want then go and try to find the best price for it and always have an eye out for it, searching everywhere. If you are handy you can make some of the work yourself such as intake, exhaust to mention a couple. I am very cheap and did what I could myself but I still had to buy the major components. Good luck, there is great advice on this forum.

If I put 5-6k$ into my 850 and I was only at 300 wheel I would be sad.. You have a built motor and your still using a ridiculously SMALL turbo!! to OP, heres a fast budget build 1. Stage 0 (vac lines, filters etc etc etc) 20$-250$ 2. Tune (Upsolute, IPD, InMotion, WothRline etc etc)200$-600$ 3. Turbo upgrade (18t,19t,k24..dont bother with a 16t..) 4. OBX downpipe/exhaust 350$ 5. EBC/MBC 5$-300$ with a combination of these mods you should be netting anywhere from 250-300whp safely on stock block if you do it right, you shouldnt have to spend more than 1000$ to be faster than 90% of the cars on the road enjoy Longbeach
TRACStar
I just want to shut my brother up with his BS Hemi 300 Unless its a SRT-8 it doesn't take much to romp them. My old wagon which was stock other than a IPD tune beat any 300/magnum/charger with the base HEMI. If he has a few upgrades done it may take a bit more work. Keep in mind that they (HEMI's) make good power, but they put them into very heavy cars.

He talks trash and been for years finally wanted to line up when my PCV and motor was bad. So I want to end the talk and show him a little Swedish speed. blazen244
Well I'm swapping the ECU in a few days I'll do the exhaust soon. I wasn't impressed by the 300's performance. Don't think it'll take to much to put him on the trailer. I'm looking to do the OBX full.Well I'm swapping the ECU in a few days I'll do the exhaust soon. I wasn't impressed by the 300's performance. B Mac
Get rid of your 8K hid headlights and you'll smoke him. But seriously...exhaust, Sconeman intake piping, chip and a turbo upgrade is really all you need. One of the guys at my shop wouldn't shut up about how badly he'd spank me with his 300C Hemi until I said I'd put $100 down on me raping him from 40-120mph.
