andyb5
You'll need adapter rings, find them at any A/V store, even best buy has them. But yeah, they'll fit.
Matty Moo
Boss is swap meet/flea market grade stuff, they'll sound better than the crackly ones you have but I'm not sure beyond that. Post up how they sound after you get them installed. I'm curious.

Malvasi
What kind of door space do the 850/S70 cars have? I don't have one and have always wondered what kind of magnet they can accommodate...
andyb5
What kind of door space do the 850/S70 cars have? I don't have one and have always wondered what kind of magnet they can accommodate... The stock speaker in the x70 doors is 6.5." I haven't actually measured, but I'd estimate that there is at least 3.5"-4" of space behind the stock mounting bracket for the magnet. I have yet to see a 6.5" speaker that wouldn't fit in the x70 doors. If anyone really wants to know, I can go measure.
andyb5
polk momo's can be had for cheap and sound amazing Where can you find those for cheap? Lowest I found was $119 shipped for a pair of 5.25" co-axials new, which is hardly cheap if you use the OP's budget as cheap. It's still a good deal on awesome speakers though

Vagabond
You dont need door adapters for 5 1/4". Memphis Street Edge are inexpensive decent speakers if you are looking better than stock sound for less than stock price.

Memphis Street Edge are inexpensive decent speakers if you are looking better than stock sound for less than stock price. 850 and x70 have different speakers, brackets, etc. You don't necessarily need mounting rings, but I'd definitely spend the extra $10 and do the job right. x70 stock speakers are 6.5." and if I were installing 5.25" speakers in a 6.5" opening, I'd want an adapter ring so that my speakers mount up correctly
