Stylinmotors Fire

I hear what you guys are saying. Maybe I'm just giving Stylin' the benefit of the doubt since they were such a good vendor. Either way, we don't really know much about what happened outside of a few facts.

And @ z31jaime: You need to reconsider your analogies. No offense, but your at home business is most likely very tiny compared to Stylin's. It would probably be a lot easier to contact all of your clients as opposed to contacting all of Stylin's. Same thing goes with your individual seller example on VS that sold a headlight. That is a single person making a sale, not an entire business. When a business has a fire, there are a million things that need to be dealt with. I agree that customers should be a priority on the list of things to deal with, and I'm not saying the way Stylin' is handling things is right, but like I said earlier, it's a lot easier to sit back and judge when you don't know all the facts.

If it turns out Stylin' is trying to scam everyone out of money, then I'll be happy to eat my own words. But at this point, I don't think it's fair to make that assumption.

Got Drama?

Fight nice kiddies.

And you wonder why people don't like you

One day, my friend, you will realize there are more important things to worry about. I could give two shits about internet popularity. :)

Have a merry xmas, xoxoxo!

Internet popularity? I think the people who dislike you on here also dislike you in real life. Enjoy your Christmas. Don't drink and drive.

your Right my examples are small scale compared to Stylin. However the basic idea still stands, like you said Customers SHOULD BE A PRIORITY. Stylin has clearly showed that we are not .......at the moment. I understand that They may have more Important things to do than worry about VS. BUT why not update your site? If your PHONES are down, have it go to a CELL phone, or POST on your site "PHONES are down." IF they are soooooo disabled by the fire that they cannot deal with our lost orders....why is there site up and running and continuing to take orders??? IF there situation is soooooo bad that they cannot answer EMAIL and Phone calls and issue refunds...why is there site still up and running????? YOUR 100% right, we don't know whats going on with them and that's exactly what everyone is upset about. And Just like you, If I'm wrong I'll be happy to eat my words.... but if it walks, talks, and acts like a duck.......

My complaint is not that they had a fire, or that they are not getting people the stuff....its that they are not keeping us POSTED on the progress. You just can't say...we had a fire, we will be at 1/2 capacity till January, hope your stuff gets out before then....k thanks bye. Or send DAVE54 an email that says....

Dave,

Today is our first day with power. But phone system is not replaced yet.

You ordered a blue AIC/IAC hose. I have gone out to check remaing intact inventory and we do not have any blue. I believe they were in the curing oven which is where the fire started. We will have to remake blue and we will not be able to do that util the new equipment is installed. We can offer a different color or refund unless you would like to wait for the blue.

Regards,

Sherri

then not answer his email, or give him a GOOOD phone number to speak to someone at. I never said they are going to scam us, because of the history they have with VS I HOPE they do come back. I just think they need to step up as a company and make it right. its been over a month from the fire, and they still haven't set up a stable means of communicating with the public? Your telling me your local phone company wont re route your calls to another phone? or you haven't though about that? your just gonna wait till they repair the system you had...its just bad move after bad move in my book. Now you have no equipment to make your orders, so unless its already made and not damaged you can't make it. but again the site is not reflecting this?????? What would they do If I went right now and ordered 10,000 blue AIC/IAC hose...???????? I bet they would have it for me ASAP. cause its a BIG DEAL. they aren't going to let something like that SLIP by.

:excl: I suggest everyone else does the same :excl:

I have read this thread from beginning to end. i was going to order some hoses for my XC90 since i had some free time over this christmas break. I was going to order up until Chilled Man filed a paypal claim. In this day and age, we CAN find internet access ANYWHERE. McDonalds have free wifi, Collage Campus, Starbucks, we can even drive around for someones unsecured linksys!! I do not believe no one from Styling can login here even as a guest and say WAAAASSSSSUUUUPPPP people.

I run a business and from my 800sq ft of show room space, i do over $1.2million annually. I can get online from my phone, i get emails sent to my phone for work. I do not believe that any one from Styling cant contact buyers thru here. A simple screen shot of the paypal payment should show that you paid. The only way i can see if there would be no contact is A: Criminal charges/arrest = incarceration B:death of all staff (not that i wish that on anyone).

Even a notice on the main page. What is this world coming to?

We do over 3million a year at the store I work out of and I get a notice of every single sale from both my counter guys and anything I type up , every day.

I also get up to the second quotes that are quoted to my customers by the counter guys.

Its not that hard ......

Anyone want me to drive by their facility and take pictures and see if it has indeed suffered a fire?

I am in Chicago right now but I would be glad to do so on tuesday.

BTW. This is google maps.

http://maps.google.c...,141.18,,0,2.29

Doesn't look good.....

But, also. Could be taking care of family. I do see a small girls bike in the front lawn...
