Again, forget about the calories and focus on:

A. Lowering the sugar and sodium intake

B. cutting out Trans Fats at all costs (this is easy, don't eat processed foods. They're generally unhealthy for you anyways)

C. Monitor your Protein/Carb/Fat/Fiber levels.

It's really that easy.

If you want result, eliminate all soda drink (coke,Pepsi) and processed food as much you can. Read up on what carbonated soda drink do to your body.

Replace that with water/smoothie/juice. Buy a decent blender and start juicing. Buy vege/ fruits from farmer markets or organics if you have a chance.

I'm the opposite. I have very good metabolism so harder for me to maintain weight. Freshman year in h.s I only weight 105lbs. I'm fluctuate between 136-140lbs now. Last measured body fat is 18% so ideally I want to drop down to 12% and be at 145lbs. That is my ideal bf % and weight.

I'm seriously cracking up over here that you're telling me I'm wrong. Like, it's mind-boggling.

I'm waiting for the "but if you skip breakfast, you gain weight" argument, or the "if you starve yourself for a couple days, you don't lose weight" argument. Both of which are true, but neither disprove what I'm saying.

Again, BURN MORE CALORIES THAN YOU CONSUME. That is how you lose weight. Everything else Timo is mentioning is correct, and is HOW you can easily do it.

You do have quite a bit to learn in nutrition, but I'll gladly take your money. Wanna put your money where your mouth is? :D

Show me a peer-reviewed article where it states that it is possible to lose weight by burning less calories than you consume (or conversely, consuming more calories than you burn) and I will paypal you the money. When you can't, however, PM me for my paypal.

That's fine man. You continue living your awesome life of maintaining your 6'0 155lb body, and I'll be healthy. Godspeed.

P.s. Don't forget that your body can excrete calories.

Why do you think I'm not healthy? I'm not trying to get into a d!ck-swinging contest here, but I race motocross and I am OCD about what goes into my body. I work out regularly; I don't eat chemicals. I'm not arguing with you on ANYTHING you're saying, except that you (apparently) think you can lose weight by consuming more calories than you burn. That's it.

Am I a know it all in this topic? I like to think so, at least more than 95% of people I encounter every day. I also enjoy learning and have been working on taking constructive criticism better than I have in the past, as people here well know I used to have a problem with.

Put down the stick, Alain. Try reading the posts again, specifically where I never said he was wrong. Anywhere. On anything *except* what he said I was wrong on. (Which again, it's not opinion....it's legit fact).
