I wouldnt sell my Volvo for a MKIII GLI 16V but I have thought about selling PoopJeep the III'rd for one (today actually i stopped and looked at one) Love how they look hope you can enjoy it! and if you ever feel the need for the powarrr again... just take your sisters car haha

hmm.early 16v...change that timing belt...more important than most any car other than the early 944... I owned many VWs in high school back in the 80s.(first car was an 81 rabbit and had a string of Sciroccos both A1 and A2 and a 16v dog of a jetta I bought in the early 90s) A1s at least had a weight advantage and were cheap to fix. 16v's make no power under 3000 rpms and then they make a little bit after that. the Jetta is heavy and you will find, rather cheaply built...but at least theres a huge aftermarket where you can toss a ton of $$ at it to wind up with a car almost as fast and not nearly as nice to drive as an 850/ x70..Although, Sconeman owned one hell of a Callaway A1 Turbo Scirocco back in 1991 That was a SICK VW..when it ran..

thats good since they never made an mk3 gli 16v.... <_<
