Volvo5.0
WOW a month off.... I'm so jealous I've been staring at my engine for the last month, hoping soon I'll have time to install it. Sounds like a fun way to spend your vacation time....although I'm sure a cruise would have probably been cheaper Have fun!

sconeman
Good luck with the build Kristian....can't wait to see the results! Nice find on the motor BTW thanks! got TT in the mail and drove the car over to the garage today along with a pile of parts. I'll probably start working on it tomorrow despite the raging head cold I just got :(
sconeman
Finally got started on stuff started stripping down new engine. got a love it.. no oil nice big openings..comparatively anyway Got myself a birthday present. Axle nuts? no friggin problem :D 4 seconds and they're off/ Pulled engine today. beginning... End... Workspace... Hmmm I think I found the source of my boost leak : ( looks like I'll have to start making these since Stylin motors is out of business. BTW. not a drop of transmission oil came out when I pulled the engine. I don't know what's left in there but I had no idea it was low. That's gotta say something for the transmissions. that is all for now. more updates in a couple days when I get back over : )
ozzimark
Nice wrench. How much torque can it do? Are you gonna try to put the engine in the car with as few changes to the engine itself as possible? :)

Dick Dastardly
Moving along! Looks like a familiar sight...you'll probably be done by the time I get up there.. Nice wrench. lookforjoe
Very Nice!!! Awesome price on the motor!!!! Take pics of fitting the old cam sensor w/ the newer torque mount - I need to see what needs modding If you do replace that coolant pipe, keep BMac in mind - he's gonna need one of those. I believe the newer torque mount has to go and gets replaced with the older style. -I'm going to keep it, I want that nifty little oil cooler, I'll be modifying the turbo to accept newer connections. Volvo5.0
The white 855 is my sons. His car is much cleaner than my S70 so I used his picture in my sig He got a new (used) engine a few weeks ago when his engine developed a rod knock The engine I'm building is going in my S70. The engine is ready, I'm just waiting on a buddy to pull the trans out of a junk car he has so I can get the flywheel I need. Didn't realize you were doing a manual swap also. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you

impulse922
yeah should be able to support 400+ well tuned. 18t is a step in a good direction, simple and relatively cheap upgrade. The thought was; I can upgrade turbo later when I want ... but Spanky has something bigger that I might want instead. Not sure, trying to figure it out with him now. hate to rain on your parade.... thats from an 03 T5 on SS, member "CAN210" 2
