Hi everyone I'm finally ready to let go of my 99 s80 2.9 and I'm looking at this 2000 v70 se manual with 170k for $2800. Do you guys think that this is a good deal? Also, what are some of the things that I should look for on this car??

Thanks in advance guys.

seems like a decent deal so long as maint. has been done. maybe try and talk the price down a few hundred

if thats a good deal then i will pick up that 00v70 se and sell it to the OP for $3500 since it has less miles and probably in better condition. remember $3500 is the retail price, that $2800 for a 175k car that NADA trade in value is at $1800-2500 LOL

i'd walk from it but that is me, then again i got $3150 for my 99 xc70 with 174k :P

I'll say it once again - any car below $3000 you should expect to spend another $1000 to $1500 getting it to stage 0 (assuming you do most of the work yourself). And that really depends on the condition and maintenance records you have on a car with 150k+ miles on it. Honestly an NA should go for $1500 at that mileage even if it is an SE. Unless there is evidence of significant maintenance. And supposedly that's what you're paying the dealer for.

Me I'd walk away from it too. Plenty of better deals to be had, especially if you think you're going to want a turbo engine at some point - and you probably will.

Agreed - I'd walk (and I wouldn't want the turbo, anyways).
