Dick Dastardly
Now that's a Canadian only rare bird. They don't exist in the US. The only T5 SEs I almost ever find are automatics. What about the Unicorn? The 1999 C70 NA with no sunroof and hand-crank windows?

Abundant Meat
Just to help you out here's what's currently on the market: 1998 S70 T5M, 248k miles - $3400 1998 S70 T5M, 121k miles - $3900 (manual swapped) 1998 S70 T5M, 70k miles - not listed but he wants $8000 1998 S70 T5M, 134k miles - $3500 1998 S70 T5M, 110k miles - $5,988 1998 S70 T5M, 124k miles - $5,650 1998 S70 T5M, 148k miles - $4550 Do I see a trend? Manual swapped doesn't count. It isn't an original T5M, therefore has no rarity. You may ask how I know mine wasn't manual swapped...I have the original window sticker with matching vin numbers. I don't think this will ever be a super expensive car...but I do think it will be one of the sought after cars that will fetch top dollar amongst Volvo's down the road again because of its low production number and its speed for that style. Burn-E
So a manual swap doesn't count? Who's being a purist / non-enthusiast now? If the tranny has been properly swapped how many owners really care whether it has a certificate from the factory saying the transmission was an original? None, zilch, nada...
cruzer555
i know this topic got all over the map. however, burn-e mentioned being approached to sell your car. I was in traffic on 128 (major highway in Boston) one evening, and someone in a van threw me their phone number into my passenger window. they said when im ready to sell call them...they have been wanting a black on black T5M. I called him last week and he has moved out of state, but that does confirm to a point, this unit is desirable...though, primarily to Volvo enthusiasts. i think ill drop it to 2K and let it go. Hey. I read the whole thread and I see you are looking for reliable transportation. I would consider trading you my perfect 855 which has 132k miles and will run forever. I'm the second owner, it was dealer maintained till this year with papers as proof. Its a N/A auto so its not super fast, but it has relatively low miles and damn good pedigree. It'll last forever, has new pads/rotors in the back, nearly new snow tires. I drive it like grandma, the revs never even go over 2000. It needs nothing except a PCV ($150 on FCPgroton.com). So anyway let me know what you think. I'm in CT so not super far away...

cruzer555
sure they don't....and you only drive to church.. Lol believe it or not... I've never been into racing the volv... My dad has a 911 racecar and my mom has a V8 mercedes so I get enough speed in those that I literally don't even bother in my car...
