V8's Are Cool

My dad just replaced his tailpipes on his mustang, and I got one of the pipes. Finally able to finish my muffler delete with STYLE.

It doesn't stick out either, sits a tad bit in from the bumper, looks perfect.

Edit- I always fail with pics

A guy near me "specializes" in Ford 302 (5.0) conversions on Volvos..He's done 240s, Bertones, last time I was there he had a p1800 in the works..had an old 162 as well (i guess that would make it a 182!) too. always did manual trans. too..(didn't do the typical 350/350 auto conversions that so many people do). He's a Volvo collector and restorer too, not just a custom guy.

Currently helping a friend in his turbo V8 build for his 242. It's going to be quite the bee knees.

Single turbo?

There's a 5.0 244 that always comes out to the local meets. Totally awesome with NO exterior mods, both tailpipes are hidden under the bumper with turn downs, really quiet exhaust. If I were to ever do a V8 RWD conversion I do it sleeper style just like that.

I think the coolest v8 swap would be the B8444 or whatever it is that Volvo made :D

Downside of that engine is that there isn't a gearbox which fits 1:1 except for the FWD based AWD AT as used in the XC90 and S80.

Afaik there isn't a company making bell housings for it.
