personally, super fast downloads dont make alot of sense for a casual home user. You arent going to see those speeds for most downloads, and fast uploads only are usefull if you upload alot (ie. you maintain a website, or run a server of some kind)

Assuming your talking about being a user of the site. You can probably only jerk off to one streaming video at a time, and how much of your bandwidth does 45secs really consume?

i took that as a joke right? if it was meant as a insult  , its 1.5 minutes for your information  its short enough , dont short change me anymore LoL

Anyone who uses streaming netflix, youtube, listens to streaming radio, or bittorrent (keep in mind this data distribution system can and IS used for legitimate purposes) will see a benifit from high bandwidth connections. Yes, shitty pooled connections are going to have a hard time seeing good download speeds especially during peak times, but something like FIOS, or other guarenteed data rates will absolutely see a benifit.

us mail seems faster.... what about something like clear, verizons internet card ect?

Haha, I hear ya. To be honest I've never investigated other internet providers. I just know that we need something that compares to DSL in terms of speed. Nothing too crazy, we only surf the internet, no gaming or anything.
