I performed a number of site searches before posting, apparently using the wrong terms ("reset service light"), specific to the 2004 S80. I had also also previously attempted the procedure twice listed in your posting (with the link to Matthew's Volvo Site) as the second option, & it failed to reset. For what it's worth, the procedure listed in your post first (for a 2000 V70/C70) does work for the 2004 S80. Kind regards, & thanks again.
