Has anyone ever done molding of the bumpers, etc. to make a it all smooth and clean. My friend says he can do it for me ( father and uncle own couple shops), so I think it'll look schweet. Any thoughts? Anyone know costs by professional shops? Pictures?

you mean like getting rid of that seam in the front that almost separates the top and of the bumper to the rest of it?

Like on the rear bumper.  How the bumper is a separate entity from the car in essence.  Make them one.  Same with the front.

oooh.. that could be cool.. I know the gap between my bumper and rear fender is a little too wide for my liking... good idea man.. test it out!

One problem with blending them into eachother is body flex. Depending on the material you use, the body flex/roll may crack whatever work you just did.

I had something like this done, molded the seam of two parts together. A year later the pieces that were joined flexed enough to crack the paint in that area.

good point.. I didn't even think about that. I'd be nice to fina a way to tighten up the gaps a bit tho..

My friend was explaining the process to me because molding is a common practice with bodykits and all that. I believe they use Duraglass or something. I'll ask him about it when he gets back in town Saturday or Sunday, get the explanation for all of us.
