matt b
it holds coolant. That's awesome.... That thread is pure bliss. As for doing that to a DD, I agree for the extreme cases but some basic mods to clean it up should make it far more appealing than the current one. Dick Dastardly
Shave and tuck the bay. It should be fairly cheap, it's the best time to do it and it'll improve the appearance. A true engine bay shave and tuck is not cheap, nor easy.. a nice tidy up is...
Mesoam
if you look at a lot of the stuff they do, its really not that expensive, just seriously time consuming

Gets expensive when you add up all the little stuff..of course its all relative...also takes some imagination...I would love to see a REAL shaved x70/850..re-located abs, PS, ECU,..All the Vac. lines hidden..coolant tank hidden..all holes in the engine bay filled. DelawareT5M
Finally got to the storage unit yesterday to get an hour's worth of work done. The main issue I'm going to run into is having no power or water in the unit, so everything's going to be done w/o power tools and then pulled the turbo intake pipe... this car was not mechanically taken care of prior to me purchasing it so I'll be doing a lot of cleaning Let the fun begin. Buy a small generator... find one on craigslist for $100 and git r done. I know that might be breaking the budget, but otherwise you'll be breaking your arm without power tools! lol
