theunderlord
Can we talk about how rediculous the New York Yankees are for a minute? I mean seriously.. Trying to get Randy Johnson and Carlos Beltran.. what the hell.. Thier 2005 payroll along will be over 220 million.. they'll pay 88 million in Luxury tax and revenue sharing alone! Which is more than some other teams payroll! I just can't take it anymore.. ESPN article on the subject..
Kashif
After the strike in 94 I honestly lost interest in baseball; isn't there any kind of salary cap like in basketball?

I mean, I'm all for teams getting the best players.. but it appears that no one will ever have a chance to get them, since Georgie boy drops the cash off in dump trucks.. InlineTurbo
Its good to know that money can't buy you a World Series. All that payroll and they got owned by a small market team last year. This year they got beat by a team with almost as much payroll as they had. Next year hopefully it will be the boys in blue who do them in.
