I currently own an '82 242 and in the past had a '95 850 T5. I'm really interested in getting either a 2000-2002 S80 or S60. Is there anything i should keep my eye out for? swedishiron Posted February 21, 2011 Report Share Posted February 21, 2011 I would skip 2001 and older for both models. IPD recommends 2002 and newer S80(s). 2001 S60 and V70 commonly had auto tranny failures. I would take a chance a 2002+ S80 T6 depending on price and change the tranny fluid every 12 months and switch to a non-toxic anti-freeze, propylene-glycol based (less damage potentially if fluids ever mix due to cooling circuit failure). Or go ahead and add a separate thermostatically controlled transmission fluid cooler on the S80 T6. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
