volvo940tuner Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 Okay. Although I had a great time and was happy with the turnout, one concern needs to be addressed. As the organizer of this meet, I work hand-in-hand with Ikea to set this up. I took time off of work, made countless calls, send e-mails back and forth..all of that..to make sure this meet could happen, and I was glad to do it. However, I laid out the ground rules in the original post, as designated by myself and Ikea staff. I was informed by a forum member that after I left, two people were drifting in the parking lot and someone did a burnout. I made it COMPLETELY CLEAR this is NOT TOLERATED. This is the first year we have had this meet in MA, and I want to make sure that we keep our reputation clear with the Ikea stores across the U.S. I worked my balls off to make sure this meet was a success, and it was. I don't need our reputation getting tarnished by childish things such as this when I specifically made it clear that was against the rules laid out by Ikea. Luckily, Ikea staff or the security team did not see what happened, but marks were left on the lot itself. I know who took place in this, and I am going to make this a first and only WARNING.
