The location we picked out at their store is VERY unique. We picked a place right out front where many people drive by. Ikea is expecting 15,000 customers on weekends, so I am expecting our event to catch lots of attention. I have talked with security and we will have wooden gates for the Volvos @ Ikea attending vehicles to drive in to park their cars in front of the building. You will all back your cars up in fashion..everything will be explained in greater detail when I post pictures of what the front looks like. This will minimize confusion on where to go to find the meet, since its right in front of the store! Each end of this slightly raised concrete area are two concrete ramps for vehicles to drive on and off. Since we will all be backing in to the building, a driving lane will not be possible on this slight area. If you need to leave and cannot use the concrete ramps at the ends of this long area, IKEA STAFF AND MYSELF WILL PROVIDE RAMPS FOR YOU TO DRIVE OVER THE CURB TO EXIT. If you have to leave, simply ask an Ikea staff member outside and we will assist you! We have discussed this thoroughly today and security and Ikea staff will be posted on either ends of this long area. This area should fit 30-50 cars easily. Ikea staff will set up wooden barriers and will direct all attending vehicles on where to go. This area is directly out front, you can't miss it. volvo940tuner Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 15, 2011 NO. The area is not as tight as it looks, its actually about 15-20 feet from the wall to the curb. We will all be BACKED IN, FACING THE ROAD. Ikea security will assist in directing everyone where to go. This is a prime location, as everyone who comes to Ikea will be driving right past out meet.
