In the process of relocating a ground wire and installing the dash console supports. Then I'll be sorting through the guts of wiring. 550 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 Got me another Volvo, this time a 240. Looking forward to getting this one in the driveway. My wife and I drove it this afternoon and the car felt really tight. Everything works and everything is there...just needs a nice wash and cleaning...a few hubcaps and a set of fresh tires. Here she is: It seems to need a ball joint or a sway bar bushing, but nothing stands out as being critical. Motor idles super smooth, all power accessories work, AC works, heat is KILLER. rodrigo Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 yet another update from my RWD brick: Oil was finally changed and the rear brakes were finally done: no more loud squealing when coming to a stop. Dropped the car off at the Volvo tech because time is short and the weather is getting colder: trans fluid replacement, rear shocks, and torque rod bushings, as well as shift linkage bushings: The car feel nice and tight! I guess i didn't realize how shot the rear shocks were. Also got my Volvo 421 touch up paint yesterday along with a few paint pens. Curious to see how much nicer I can get it to look.
