the commissar!
It is nice not having that third pedal sometimes, especially if you endure long rush hour commutes. When I drive our Viggen it gives me the itch to do it but then I would agree with the crowd that says...only do it if you do the LSD at the same time. Otherwise you will be doing it twice LOL! So yea...you are looking at about $2000 out the door for the swap if you do it right and get a good deal on the parts. More if you buy a "kit" so I say pull that sucker and sit on it till you fully commit to the swap...then drop the hammer on the LSD. If I found one that is what I would do... boxpin
So I only had one hour to pull the tranny on Saturday before they closed. I got it out accept one bolt hidden on the rear engine mount and ran out of time...I needed 15 more minutes. So I closed shop thinking I will go again Monday morning and finish it. Monday comes and I go to get the trans and someone else had attacked it. The Pedals are gone. The shifter is almost out, the master cylinder is gone, switches on the trans are gone. CRAP! So I get the trans with slave, shifter and cables and flywheel. Now I have to find pedals and a master cylinder plus the brackets for the shift linkage on the trans. Grrrrr. Makes me wonder who took them.
850T5M
Ah that sux hard, at least you got the main parts and just have to source out some smaller, less expensive parts. Good luck!

Matt01
it just sucks that you need a manual, so you take it out another car. then that car ends up in the scrapyard.. -1 manual 850.. but +1 turbo manual, plus the value of your car goes up! AverageVolvo
You much better off getting a NEW master cylinder, They are a PIA to change to save 100$ Good luck, and as mentioned before, keep your Junkyard scores secret until you have all the Parts in your Car/garage. Sucks but there are scavengers out there.
bum2kev
i used to pull whole swap kits. wheel them over to the american car section and hide them in trunks until a 50% off day. worked very well. also if you put the flywheel under the trans in a wheelbarrow sometimes they miss it when charging everything

850wagonT5
I really prefer an auto for DD, but if it's cheap I'd grab it just to hold on to it and make up your mind later. If you decide not to use it, you can always sell it later. Nice find!
