The one in the picture is an "S" model (you can tell by the hood scoop). Those ones are supercharged. I drove a non supercharged one, and while it was really slow, it was incredibly fun to drive. Congrats!

In case you did not know they turbo'd the "S" '08 and after. ;)

My mom daily's an 06 supercharged 6 speed mini pooper.

Really fun car to drive, but other than the few fun times I have driving it, I'd rather be driving something else.

You need a shallow 36mm socket to get the oil filter housing off.

I took a socket out of my harbor freight axle nut socket set and ground it down.

Hopefully that helps when you go to take out the oil filter and are like:

You are mostly correct. The 02-07 S and JCW models were supercharged, but in 08 when they were updated, they switched to a turbocharged engine, which was actually fairly controversial among Mini enthusiats. I retract my earlier statement saying it was turbocharged--I was on VS mobile and couldn't see the lower bumper well, and thought it was an updated model.

Judging by the front fascia, this in a pre-08 model, and is supercharged wink.gif

My ex-GF has a naturally aspirated Mini, and coupled with the 5 speed, it is a surprisingly fun car to drive, especially when compared to my bone-stock N/A sad.gif Even with the base suspension and all season tires it was remarkably nimble and responsive.

Good to know. I haven't bought the Bentley yet, but it's due for an oil change soon.

Thanks, guys
