I know this advice isn't really helpful but I would like to throw it out there.

So you change the transmission and now get nothing when attempting to start...........chances are something, somewhere along the lines is unplugged, incorrectly installed, etc.

Just a thought, double check, triple check, etc. yourself and I surely wouldn't part the car out because of this.

Chances are when you figure out the issue you'll give yourself a big DOHHHHH.

Best of luck man.

pull the covers on the ecu off, and pull the ecu out, look at the wiring at the base and leading away towards the firewall under the plastic cover. Chances are you have one that is frayed/cut/crappy. I have a friend who threw alot of money like you at brand new everything to still have a no crank, he looked there, and his solid black wire was damaged. Fixed that, and it fired right up. Mice can be fckers. He had no codes or anything to lead him in that direction. Good luck

no sir. Born in Sydney, Aus actually. I guess i'm a canadian convict. The good 850's always fight you, thats how you know their worth keeping. Keep pushing man. And at least nightmares about volvo's aren't as bad as ones with midget unicorns running around butt molesting life size ken dolls with barbie heads. Cheers and good luck on the harness swap
