g96nt
Anyone else have a good or bad experience with the FCP hoses? I knew about the throttle body hose issues in the early batches, but had heard that issue was solved. Didn't know about any overall fitment issues with the rest of the hoses. I don't know what the TB hose issue was, but I know I got 2 TB hoses. one with a long, and one with a short ISC hose. When I googled, I found that it's not an uncommon issue for people. Some people take the time, are able to muscle them on; some people, like me, don't bother. I was actually happy with the quality of the hoses, and they're shaped perfectly. If anyone picks them up, be VERY aware of the excess silicone on the insides. I'd recommend using a razor to cut it off.
Oreo931
I returned my FCP hoses last week. I was having to put enough force into installing them that I was afraid I was going to break the plastic end-tanks on the intercooler. everyone says they should be tight, but the only one of their hoses I could get on with wd-40, heat, and prying, was the turbo outlet. (the little 3" long hose.) these hoses were actually smaller than the pipes they were supposed to be fitting on. When the credit goes back onto my card, I'll be purchasing the ipd/Samco set. That being said, Mike was awesome at handling the situation, and call-tagged 'em for me. LOL. Enjoy experiencing the exact same problems with the Samco hoses. 7 VII 7
I am going to try this today or this weekend. To get the silicone hose on the intercooler top part... how do you get that top plastic piece off. I cant pull it up it is blocked by the plastic frame part.... ? bob850
it snaps out. There are some tabs along the bottom (it's an "L" shape You may break a few of the tabs during the process, I broke at least one, but it still seems to hold itself in place. 7 VII 7
My problem is that it can't go UP. It is under the big black plastic frame that spans the width of the car (corner light to corner light)
--Aaron--
LOL. Enjoy experiencing the exact same problems with the Samco hoses. Agreed, the Samcos are a very tight fit as well.
--Aaron--
My problem is that it can't go UP. It is under the big black plastic frame that spans the width of the car (corner light to corner light) That piece does NOT snap out, nor does it pull out. There is a torx under the ledge on each side, then take two long flathead screwdrivers and pry evenly on each end of the radiator fan shroud, slide it out of it's track. Same concept for reinstallation, evenly pry out, slide it back into it's track and there ya go. :)

g96nt
are none the correct size? are they all smaller than the originals? I mean... these hoses are literally small than the pipes they're connecting to. I've worked on hundreds of cars, and done plenty of work with silicone. these were like... ridiculously tight. I had my full weight on the TB, and couldn't get the hose on.
blazen244
My wife helped me out we used boiling water and a butter knife.
7 VII 7
I got the TB hose on and the top intercooler hose on. The car is boosting awesome. I need to put the other 3 hoses on. I just used oil and a small flat head screw driver.
caanglin
I just put them on. I don't remember them being too difficult. No oil, soap, heat or anything. I used Samcos.
