Hope this is the right spot...but here it goes

I have a 1999 Volvo s70 5spd...215K miles few exterior mods such as tint, projectors, and grille and swedish plate. I have sound system all redone on the inside but that is just about it...NOthing to fancy. It is an n/a. Now I was wondering if it would be more beneficial to sink more money into this car ... OR try and find anther S70 t5 manual or auto. I really wanted more performance and looks but i feel my 215k mile car which is non turbo might not be worth it...Just wanted some thought overall on getting a new car or keeping mine right now.

Thanks guys!

Keep the N/a as your daily driver, and get a project car for speed/fun. I'm looking into an e30 convertible and swapping something fun into it (LSx, 2JZ, RB26, or 5.0). Also considering a swapped miata, but that would also require lots of body mods to make it look like less of a hairdressers car.

Basically something that's solid, RWD, and inexpensive to acquire before tearing it apart and building it back up.

Go buy a T5A, get a junkyard m56 and swap it. Then strip your nice audio system, projectors, and grille off the NA, replace with the stock parts off the T5. Then sell the NA.

ya that is not a bad idea just a long/expensive endeavor lol.

from worcester huh? I go to collge there :)

Keep your s70 as a daily driver because at 215k miles your not going to get much out of it. Pick up a cheap Nissan, BMW, Honda, ect... to throw some money into and have fun with. Constantly taking apart and modifying a DD is highly over rated. If you cant afford another car right now, just take your time researching what would be fun and cheap to modify.

Everybody that has posted is spot on regarding your S70 in that it isn't worth trying to make it faster.

But, if you like the car and it's in reasonably good shape and you do have some money to sink into it, then make the car handle much better. A lot of the pleasure of driving isn't in the straight line, seat-of-your-pants fast driving.

A set of swaybars, endlinks, some poly bushings and a good set of summer tires will do wonders to the car in terms of driving experience. I don't know that I would spend the money to get all new struts/shocks and springs unless they absolutely need to be replaced but just doing the stuff above should make the car a whole different experience.
