atefitty
Yesterday I had a bad day. I lost nearly all my coolant. The neck on my radiator broke completely off. I opened the hood after seeing some steam and my upper hose was just hanging there with the broken end inside. I was aware it was leaking from the bottom corner where they typically fail. I have been reading posts about guys watching their radiators leaking for a while before changing them. Wish I had just changed the darn thing now..Towing was $65 and the careless tow truck driver broke my e-brake cable trying to load my 850 onto his truck! Oh, I had just replaced the timing belt and water pump the day before and had fresh coolant. Ha.
T5wagon1717
Yeah, Mine blew too. I am just hoping that I didn't ruin anything else, or the radiator isn't the cause of something else. Good luck!
the commissar!
That sucks...you gotta be careful tightening those clamps...too loose and it leaks too tight and c-r-a-c-k! Especially with the aftermarket radiators without the reinforced neck.
Zappo
my original radiator broke the same way. Drove home though. Had to fill it every 2 miles though. Luckily I was only 6 miles away.
FCP Euro
That really stinks. At least the car did not over heat. Also, did you charge the tow truck driver for breaking you e-brake cable?

Also, did you charge the tow truck driver for breaking you e-brake cable? I was quite surpried when I called the next day..He was like, "no problem, just bring it in so we can get the vin number and order the part and I will have my techs here put it in." I just hope their techs aren't like the tow truck drivers.. Oh, the careless tow truck driver also chipped the paint on my brand new Vectors!! I touched them up with some Honda touch up paint I had.
