It cracked the radiator support.

I was turning left at a light there were about 20 cars in line, really long and as the line got shorter the car two in front of me decided to let some bozo in who wanted to make a left turn but did not wait in line. That caused a braking domino effect and I lost.

The bumper used to be the car color but its been striped to repaint.

Sucks big time dude...you'll get it sorted though...we/I have faith in ya bro. Btw...I hate those bozos...they all seem to really come out at Xmas when it comes to turning into the mall too.

That's happened many times to me (just was always lucky and stopped a few inches short). I've always thought 850/X70's didn't panic brake from slow speeds very well. If you mash the brake in a panic the ABS comes in way too soon and drastically stops you from stopping faster... that's a weird sentence. The problem is totally fixed with newer cars and the ABS is a lot smarter.

Surprised people are surprised. If the car is worth somewhere in the $2000-3000 range in the eyes of insurance, then an OEM headlight set, hood grille and paint easily get you to $2000. That said, I would take their check, buy it back and do the work myself for $200 in parts and $50 worth of product from paintscratch.com.
