Stormtrooper1
yeah, when i did that, i went Ghetto, Turbobricks style, and used zip ties.
db130
dealer retail price on the rivets were 40 cents each as of last year using part number 979878. looks like the dealer retail price has since jumped to 81 cents apiece, but if your local dealer is charging you $2.50 per rivet, you need to find another dealer. Dave 54
I have had the same problem with the FCP ones, almost everyone split. The dealer ones I have used never split.
gilber33
Huh, I'm using FCP's rivets and haven't had a single problem with them. None of them split. Is there a way to not crank down on them so much with the rivet gun?
bergmjs
Yea, all the FCP ones have split for me. I use zipties mainly. Or just go buy some regular pop rivets from home depot for like $4/100 of them and paint them black.

Oreo931
I ordered 15. I have only used about half, but every single one cracked. FCP lists them as OEM...but maybe they aren't?
Mattphi
OEM's are a softer plastic. I've put tons on and they've never cracked.

Fitzy
If your taking them on and off a bunch get some PEM nuts and allen head bolts so you never have to worry about rivets again.

I'm pretty sure my gun was Craftsman, I'm not sure. I can look next time I go home
