Speedbump
I want to put my lower cylinder head on today. I would like the crank in the correct position, so when I put my upper cam / valve cover on everything is in the correct position. I have angle iron to fabricate my cam position holders before I place the top cover, with my timing gears in the correct position.. Question is all I hear in the timing forums about "the slit in the valley" cam timing mark. My B5254s has two slots in the teeth, that align with the block mark, but nobody is talking about this. I know I will be told to remove the cam pulley, however I actually have no problem viewing this crank gear at all. I had to move my spotlight to take the picture. It puts cylinder 1's piston at top position. so is the current position be correct ?
