boxpin
Can that kit repair small tears in the leather? My driver's seat split right in the middle of the bottom of the back about an inch. Is this it? http://store.leathermagic.com/deluxeleatherrepairkit.aspx Yes thats it and they dropped the price...I've been robbed! It comes with stuff to fix rips and I think if your rip is only an inch it can do it.

Fin-Solo
Having to send in a sample seems stupid, Why cant they just get the color codes from volvo? I would NEVER tear my leather for a color match.Edit- Although I Don't Have leather any more. Just Sayin.

That lets them correctly match the color your seats are now, not the color they started life as. Years of sun and use have surely caused slight changes in the color, which means a generic color may be close, but not a match.
boxpin
Your going to be dying your entire seat anyway so it really does not matter if it matches. I thought it did at firstbut now that its done...doesnt matter. Any tan that I put in there would have looked good.
Serge
This brings me to a question, do you dye the whole section or just the parts you fixed? That lets them correctly match the color your seats are now, not the color they started life as. Years of sun and use have surely caused slight changes in the color, which means a generic color may be close, but not a match. That does make sense, but if you are getting it from the very bottom edge of your seat where it curls into the frame, isn't that section the same as when it was new? I figure the sun doesn't affect areas in such hidden places.

Touche I didn't think of that, so unless you take a visible chunk out of your seat, I'm not sure what good the sample is
PyROTech
im also curious how long it lasts. the pics do look very nice. wish i had figured this out awhile back before i sold the car, the leather was looking like some of those cougars at my local watering hole. harleyhv
im also curious how long it lasts. the pics do look very nice. +1 I was also looking at "Leatherique Seat Restoration" as my 1st alternative as it does not use a colouring step in the restoration process. http://home.insightb...yon/leather.htm http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/131702-lexol-vs-leatherique/page__p__1760310__hl__leatherique__fromsearch__1#entry1760310
