atefitty
The door lock on my 850 stopped working today..When I put the key in the door it will only unlock the drivers door. When I put the key in the passenger door it will unlock all doors. The Key Fob has also stopped working. I just got a new battery for the key fob and programmed it a few weeks ago and it was fine until now. I'm going to replace the drivers door actuator and hope for the best. atefitty
Thanks, just looking to get some feedback. I think I will go with a new part. A used one will likely fail soon.
Gilhuly
If you do pick and pull yards, I wouldn't be afraid to go used. These don't go bad all that often.

Might as well save money. I see FCP Groten is selling them for $200, that's kinda spendy.
--Aaron--
I agree, used will be just fine. Just inspect it for anything obvious. FWIW I have 180K and all mine are original to the car with the exception of the passenger rear which I replaced due to overspray in the door handle opening from when I had the car repainted. There was so much over spray the outside handle couldn't pull out far enough to unlatch the door. The hardest part about the job is probably going to be reinstalling the door handle. You may want to grab some 3M adhesive spray just in case the door panel brackets stay stuck in the door after removing the panel......common with age.
